Creative Crystal Company history
We offer you a boundless playground of beauty to brighten your life and enhance your world. Wear in health and happiness.

When Michael Jackson's "Thriller" was at the top of the charts worldwide, Lucia Reid was in the entertainment industry in Orlando, Florida. Reid managed a dance troupe that featured a both a male and female Michael Jackson look-alike. The troupe performed convention entertainment at Walt Disney World and throughout Disney hotels for Epcot Entertainment. Jackson's fascination with Disney brought him to the area quite often. At an Epcot convention where Reid's troupe was appearing, Jackson personally came to meet Reid and her dancers.

MJ Glove

Costuming for the Jackson impersonators needed to be the highest quality and Reid quickly found it was impossible to apply normal rhinestones to emulate the famous Jackson glove. Reid discovered Swarovski hot fix crystals in Europe but they were not yet being sold in America. The decision to offer these crystals to America and Creative Crystal Company was born.

The American public loved the Company's new concept of "fast, fun and easy" embellishing but the choice was limited. Swarovski (the originator of hot fix glue rhinestones) only offered 4mm clear diamond crystals. Gradually additional sizes and colors were introduced and brought to America by Creative Crystal. Ready-made transfer motifs, another Swarovski invention, also became a staple item for the Company.

A decade later, when Swarovski developed the original hot fix tool, the inventor gave Creative Crystal exclusive rights for North and South America. The tool was called RoboKing in Europe. Creative Crystal named it BeJeweler for the Americas. Both tools applied only a 4mm crystals. Creative Crystal commissioned the inventor to make modificaitons and to create additional tips.

When Swarovski discontinued the Robo Stick, Creative Crystal expanded distribution worldwide. Innovative improvements and superior technology resulted in the finest quality rhinestone applicator ever manufactured. Now fashioned in two tone rose pink, blueberry and kiwi, this design patented tool features a soft, flexible handle that maximizes productivity while preventing operator fatigue and discomfort. When you see it, touch it, use it you will know why the BeJeweler Pro is the hands down choice for applying Swarovski hot fix crystals. Reid introduced the first electric rhinestone applicator and trademarked the name "BeJeweler." The BeJeweler expanded the range of items that could be decorated from fabrics to nearly any surface and it soon became known as the industry standard.

Television brought the BeJeweler to an eager audience via Aleene's Creative Living, QVC, HSN (Home Shopping Network), the Discovery Channel, HGTV and other programs. Continual updates and new technology kept the BeJeweler well ahead of any competition.

The Company is now welcoming their third generation of hot fix crystal applicators with colorful models now being manufactured for clients worldwide. The Company's extensive knowledge of the hot-fix industry has made them experts in a field where others have just begun.
